Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

In today's digital world, securing your online accounts is more crucial than ever. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of security, safeguarding your PandaSuite account against unauthorized access.

What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

2FA enhances account security by requiring two forms of identification: something you know (like a password) and something you have (like a phone). This dual-layered approach significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

Enable 2FA in PandaSuite

Here are the steps to active two-factor authentication from your account:

• Login to PandaSuite Account
• Go to Account > Security 
• Click Add Authentication Step

Authentication Options

PandaSuite supports two main 2FA methods:

• Security Key: it's related to biometric data (TouchID for iOS) or hardware device that provides a secure way to authenticate a user's identity electronically.
• Authenticator App: there are mobile apps that generate a time-sensitive code as part of the authentication process.

Set Up Using an Authenticator App

Here are some well known examples of authenticator app:

• iOS: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, Duo Mobile, and 1Password
• Android: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, Duo Mobile, and 1Password
• Windows Phone: Microsoft Authenticator, Duo Mobile
• Desktop: 1Password, Authy (Chrome ext.)

To enable two-step authentication with a mobile app, scan the barcode on the screen and confirm the code, then write down and store the provided backup code in a safe place. If switching to a new phone, the two-step authentication must be disabled and re-enabled with the new device.

Here is how to set up 2FA using an authenticator app: 

• Download and install the authenticator app: choose an app compatible with your device and install it.
• Add a new account: in the app, select the option to add a new account.
• Scan QR Code: you will be asked to scan the barcode on your screen with your mobile device’s camera. On PandaSuite interface, select Add Authenticator app and to capture the QR code displayed on PandaSuite's 2FA setup page.

• Confirm the code that is shown in your app to finish the setup.

• Write down the backup code shown and store it in a safe place. The backup code will be very useful in case of a phone loss.

Set Up Using a Security Key

The setup of a security key depends on the operating system you are using to access the account: MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android. Please follow the instructions specific to your device.

Connect to Your Account Using 2FA

Once you've set up one or 2 authentication methods, you can use once of these methods every time you connect to your account.
