Create a device-specific layout: for example a landscape layout for tablets and a portrait layout for mobile devices.
The difference between responsive design and adaptive design is not always obvious, but this question emerges when you define how to adapt your screen behaviour on devices.
Responsive design or adaptive design?
The responsive design is a single layout that automatically adapts to all screen sizes. With adaptive design, different layouts can be created that are optimally adapted to each device. Two layouts are usually created: a portrait layout optimized for mobile devices and a landscape layout optimized for tablet and computer.
At PandaSuite, the responsive doesn't manage the change of orientation of the device. If you have created a "portrait" mobile app and you want a "landscape" orientation for tablets, you can create another layout.
Create new layout
By default your project contains only one layout.
To create a new layout, go to your Dashboard, in the Settings tab.
Click Add Layout. Choose between a blank design or start from an existing design.
If you are starting from an existing design, just put the objects back in the right place. You can also copy and paste your objects from an existing project.
Edit a layout
When the studio opens, choose the layout you want to open.
Preview a layout
To preview another layout on the PandaSuite Viewer application, hold your finger on the project icon and choose the layout to display from the menu that appears.
Delete a layout
Go to your dashboard, in the Settings tab. Click on Options and the Delete this layout button.
Publish an adaptive design
When your application is viewed on a device, the correct layout is automatically displayed. You don't have to do anything special.
Manage updates to your layouts from the Content Management section of your Publishing Platform.
